Performance 4 Life - FALL

Performance 4 Life is intended for athletes who would like to continue personal climbing performance, but who do not wish to compete (or wish to compete recreationally) or train to compete.

Athletes in this program are exposed to a training structure, but in a laid-back environment. Goals are intended for personal growth and not intended for competing.

 

(Note): This class involves lead climbing. Prior lead experience is not required, but it will be introduced and taught.

 

Course Details:

*** No classes on Easter long weekend and Statutory Holidays

  • Ages: 12-19
  • 12 weeks; 2x a week (2 hours)


Learn to:

  • Lead Belay
  • Training structure and drills
  • Prerequisites:
  • Top Rope Belaying: Athletes must know how to Top Rope belay in a safe manner, belay confidently and be able to load a GriGri without hesitation.
  • Minimum Climbing Ability: Confidence and proficiency in climbing routes is expected. Athletes must be able to confidently climb 5.10+

*Registration Disclaimer: Climb Base5 aims to provide a safe, inclusive, and supportive environment for all participants. For the safety and wellbeing of every child, participants must be able to follow staff instructions, engage safely in a group setting, and interact appropriately with others. If a child is unable to meet these expectations or their behaviour impacts safety, parents or guardians will be notified and asked to speak with their child about improving that behaviour. If the behaviour does not improve, or in more serious situations, parents/guardians will be contacted and asked to come pick up their child. In these cases, the child may be withdrawn from the program, and no refund will be issued.

**Children must be droped off and picked up at the front desk of the Climb Base5 climbing gym to ensure the child's safety. Children must stay inside the climbing gym during their program, course, camp unless they are accompanied by a Coach (i.e. during full day camps).

  • Top Rope Belaying: Athletes must know how to top rope belay confidently and be able to load a GriGri without hesitation.
